Remember, any time you'd like to add glitter, or rhinestones, to let me know, each letter costs an additional $2 to bejewel!  It makes a big difference though, and it's totally worth it for your little princess!

Christmas Time

Christmas time here at the Sweet house was a lot busier than I anticipated!  I fell a little behind in my painting.  Well, I will remember to schedule accordingly for next year!  Some of the dates have changed for letter completion, I had to do some shuffling around a bit, but, nothing has moved by more than a week or two either way.  I will try to stick more closely to this schedule, and maybe even make up some time this week!

Mitchell Letters Finally Here!

So!  These Mitchell letters were painted for a couple in the USA.  They were pregnant with their first baby, and designing his room with colors from his bedding!  Well, the little guys decided to make an early Christmas appearance, and was born on December 19th, instead of early January!  What a great Christmas present!  I am sending these GIGANTIC letters to them on Monday morning, so they will be that PERFECT final touch to the little guy's bedroom

Okay and here are the pics I used to match:

So the letters are meant to hang above the crib between the 2 windows!  FUN!

A little sidetracked...

Okay,

I know I said I would post pics of the progress of Mitchell's letters, but, I changed my mind...I am about 80% done them though....so hopefully the end of the week, or beginning of next will bring completion to that project.

I have ventured off a little on a side project.  It's a flower shaped wooden box.  I painted it as a gift, and slightly personalized it.  I will post pictures of it later in the week.  I know, I know, I WILL post it though.  I am more keen to post picture of completed work, rather than partially completed projects, because they look terrible when they are partially completed, even to me.  Even when I can visualize what they will look like, sometimes that vision changes, or evolves into something else, something better, in the midst of painting....

9" Mitchell Letters

So, the next order I am working on (if anyone is following along), are 9" MITCHELL letters.  This is the first time I have done a FULL name in 9" letters.  There isn't room on my table for all 8 letters at once, so I have split the job into 2.  4 and 4.  The first 4 letters I am working on are I, C, E, & L.  These are all patterned letters.  There are going to match a crib bedding, in a baby's room.  The colors I am working with are red, denim blue, light blue, chocolate brown, and white.  It is amazing to me how many color combinations look SO great together, and this is no exception!  I will try to take some pics of the progress as I go on this one, so watch out for those.
Until then, back to work!

MY ESTY SHOP ANNOUNCEMENT

CALLING ALL BARGAIN HUNTERS!!!

As of January 1st, 2010, I will be implenting a $2 per letter price increase for my 4 3/4 inch letters.  Making the NEW price $14 PER letter. 

For those of you who still want to take advantage of the $12 letters, GET YOUR ORDERS IN!  I will be accepting orders for $12 letters UP TO December 31, 2009, for completion in 2010.  All orders are subject to being added to my calendar, and MUST be paid for in advance.

Also, I will be completing 9 inch FULL NAMES in the new year, at a cost of $22 per letter, so watch out for that!  9 inch letters are NOT subject to the $2 price increase!

Ashley Letters Update

I worked hard today on Ashley's letters.  They will be finished tomorrow, and I will post pics, but, not until the afternoon. 

Today, I am feeling sick, so, it depends on how I am feeling tomorrow, whether I start on Grace's letters, or wait a day or two, and see if I am any better.

Here is where I paint....

So here are some pictures of where I paint, it is in the basement, I have a "no kids allowd" area.  I have a little heating pad, because it can be quite chilly down there, and usually wear layers!  I have a stack of drawing/painting books, and sketches on the corner of my table.

The pool table has been covered with my Mural canvas to save the dust from all the sanding that has to be done, when I get the letters.  I have recruited my husband to help with this, but, I mostly still do it myself.

Letters This Week

This week I am working on some REALLy Girlie letters.  It will be challenging to see how it goes, as I am now working p/t Friday nights and Saturdays.  It will be an adjustment, but, since Sunday is my BIG painting day, I am commited to completely things in a timely manner. 

I will try to post progress pics, so you can see how they are coming over the next few days....

Bryn's Letters

So, here are Bryn's letters.  They are bright, and colorful, and with more glitter, and sparkle than anything I've done to date!  I love the cheerful colors and flowers, it reminds me of an island wedding bouquet (not sure why?).  The painting was quite challenging, in that, it took MANY coats to cover such a bright background!

I hope she likes them as much as I do!

New Letters

I have just completed painting Becky's HUGE order of six names!  Ben, Sam, Calli, Haley, Tyler, & Bryn.  I am planning to post pictures of Bryn's bright colorful letters, tomorrow!!!  I have painted something unlike anything I have done before, and am excited to see how the pictures turn out!!!

 I try to take pictures in the morning, because the light is natural, and the pictures turn out best in natural light!  Sometimes, I am so excited to take pictures, it is hard for me to wait, and post in the morning of the next day!

The orders are POURING in now, and I am busier than ever!  For every name I do, I am taking 1-3 more orders!

I am now booking into February, and have 5 unconfirmed orders for February as it is, I ALWAYS book on first come first serve, however, I have fit IN a few names here and there for rush clients....I will soon have to start charging extra for rush orders!  BE INFORMED!! :)
